Privacy Policy
Gigatidy is a Mac cleaning app made by BlackPixel AI Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect through the Gigatidy app and the gigatidy.app website, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
1. What stays on your Mac
Gigatidy scans your disk locally. The list of files it finds, their names, paths and contents are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
2. What we collect
When you use the AI assistant
To generate an answer, the app sends your question and anonymous size totals by category (caches, snapshots, downloads and similar) to our servers and to our AI service provider. These requests do not include file names, file paths or file contents. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
When you buy a subscription
Purchases are made through the Mac App Store and processed by Apple. Apple shares with us only what is needed to confirm your subscription (such as the plan and its status). We never see your name, email or card details from the purchase.
When you contact us
We store your email address and anything you write to us, so we can reply.
When you visit our website
We use analytics (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful. This uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device type and pages visited. You can block these cookies in your browser.
Diagnostics
If the app crashes, it may ask you to send a crash report. Crash reports contain technical details about the app and macOS version, not your files. Sending them is optional.
3. How we use data
- to answer your questions in the app;
- to process payments, issue and verify license keys;
- to provide support and send important service messages;
- to send product news, only if you agreed to it (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- to improve the app and the website, and to prevent fraud.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Gigatidy: hosting, the AI service provider, the payment processor, email and analytics providers. They may use the data only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose data if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.
5. How long we keep data
Assistant requests are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep the service secure. Purchase records are kept as long as required by tax and accounting laws. Support emails are kept until you ask us to delete them.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or limit how we use it. To make a request, email privacy@gigatidy.app. We will reply within 30 days.
7. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When we transfer data from the EU or the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit and limit access to personal data to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
9. Children
Gigatidy is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the app or by email.
